The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, Revanth Reddy, has announced that the party will launch a postcard movement in protest of the disqualification of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha. This comes after a Surat court sentenced Gandhi to two years imprisonment in a defamation case filed against him over his ‘Modi surname’ remark. The TPCC chief stated that all wings of the party, including NSUI, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, ST Morcha, SC Morcha, and others will participate in the movement against the rule of PM Modi. Additionally, the party plans to stage a satyagraha on April 8 in Mancherial, followed by a movement from April 10 to April 25, along with the ‘Haath se Haath Jodo Yatra’.
Reddy also addressed the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak issue and criticized CM KCR for his involvement. He stated that on April 25, a big protest meeting is planned in Gadwal against CM KCR, along with around 1 lakh unemployed youth. The TSPSC paper leak issue is a big scam, and the future of 30 lakh unemployed youths is at stake here. Reddy called for the removal of CM KCR’s son KTR from the minister’s post and the TSPSC chairman and board members. He suggested that a new committee should be formed, and the TSPSC should work on conducting the exams. The TSPSC had cancelled the Assistant Engineers (AE) exam held on March 5 following allegations of question paper leaks. On March 13, police arrested nine people, including two employees of the TSPSC. Following the arrest of the accused, the Commission cancelled the exam and postponed other exams scheduled to be held later in the month.
