    Hyderabad: There are rumors that some BRS MLAs who joined the Congress might go back to their old party. In response, the Telangana Congress leaders are taking steps to manage the situation.

    Recently, a few defected BRS legislators met senior party leaders at the BRSLP office in the Assembly. State I and PR and Revenue Minister P. Srinivas Reddy assured that no BRS MLAs who joined Congress are planning to leave. He mentioned that all 10 defected BRS MLAs are happy with their decision to join Congress.

    Minister Reddy explained that Bhadrachalam MLA T. Venkat Rao met BRS leaders simply because they were old friends. He emphasized that Congress will recognize the defected MLAs and support the development of their constituencies.

    Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also stated that the defected BRS MLAs are content. He accused the BRS leadership of spreading false information to the media. He revealed that 15 more BRS MLAs are considering joining Congress and assured that the ruling party would protect the interests of all defected MLAs.

    Government Whip Adi Srinivas clarified that none of the defected MLAs will rejoin BRS as they understand that the opposition party has lost the people’s trust. He noted that Gadwal MLA B. Ramkrishna Reddy, who recently joined Congress, is facing local political issues that the party will resolve.

    Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Rangareddy expressed confidence in securing a ministerial position in the upcoming cabinet expansion. He highlighted that he was the only Congress MLA to win from Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts in the recent elections.
