    HCL Technologies to Open New Tech Center in Hyderabad

    Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that HCL Technologies, a global technology company, will set up a new tech center in Hyderabad. This move strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a major global IT hub. The announcement followed productive discussions with HCL Tech’s Global CEO and MD, C. Vijayakumar, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Telangana’s pavilion received significant attention.

    A Cutting-Edge Facility in Hi-Tech City

    The new tech center, covering 3.2 lakh square feet, will be located in Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City. It will focus on key areas such as life sciences, financial services, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The campus has already earned a Gold Certification from the Indian Green Building Council for its sustainable design.

    This facility is expected to generate around 5,000 IT jobs, providing opportunities for local talent and boosting Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a technology hub.

    Government’s Support for IT Growth

    Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed HCL’s expansion, emphasizing that it reflects Hyderabad’s status as a global leader in the IT sector. He credited the city’s robust infrastructure and skilled workforce for attracting world-class companies like HCL.

    IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu highlighted the state government’s commitment to creating a thriving innovation ecosystem. He assured HCL of full government support in expanding IT services to smaller cities within Telangana, fostering inclusive growth and employment opportunities.

    HCL’s Longstanding Presence in Hyderabad

    HCL Technologies has been operating in Hyderabad since 2007, providing services to global clients. With the addition of this new facility, the company will now have five centers in the city. CEO C. Vijayakumar expressed optimism about the new center’s potential to enhance their capabilities and cement Hyderabad’s role as a critical part of HCL’s global network.

    The center is scheduled to be inaugurated next month, marking another milestone in Telangana’s journey toward becoming a global IT powerhouse.
