Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to create new policies to boost tourism in Telangana. He emphasized the importance of focusing on eco-tourism, health tourism, and temple tourism. To develop effective strategies, he asked officials to study the best practices used by other states.

During a meeting at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, as part of the Smart Proactive Efficient and Effective Delivery (SPEED) projects, the Chief Minister made several suggestions to improve Telangana’s tourism sector. He recommended using a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to develop resources in key areas. This approach, he believes, will ensure sustainable growth and development.

The meeting was attended by Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and other senior officials. They discussed various aspects of tourism in detail. The Chief Minister suggested setting up safaris in the Kawal and Amrabad forest areas. He also proposed building cottages in specific locations to offer overnight stays for tourists.

In addition, a new zoo park will be established on nearly 1,000 acres of land outside Hyderabad. The Chief Minister mentioned Anant Ambani’s 3,000-acre wildlife sanctuary in Jamnagar as an example, indicating the possibility of similar projects in Telangana.

In the Ananthagiri region, which is rich in natural forests, the Chief Minister proposed using 200 acres of government land to develop health tourism. He suggested creating a nature wellness center similar to the Jindal Nature Cure Institute in Bengaluru.

Moreover, plans were announced to develop health tourism within a 1,000-acre Health City in Hyderabad’s Fourth City. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of policies that would offer incentives to institutions interested in establishing centers there. His goal is to make Hyderabad a key hub for medical tourism in India, attracting attention both nationally and internationally.
