Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, paid tribute to Chakali (Chityala) Ailamma, a brave fighter from the Telangana armed struggle, on her birth anniversary. He praised her courage and referred to her as a symbol of self-respect for the Bahujan community and a powerful figure for women’s empowerment.
The Chief Minister spoke about Ailamma’s important role in fighting against feudal landlords. Her bravery and determination inspired many people during her time. CM Reddy also mentioned that a Women’s University in Koti has been named after Ailamma to honor her legacy.
Revanth Reddy stressed the need to recognize Ailamma’s descendants and ensure they receive the respect they deserve for their family’s contributions to the fight for justice. He concluded by stating that Ailamma’s legacy continues to inspire women throughout the state.
