    Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Calls for Unity to Transform Hyderabad into a Global City

    Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Shares Vision for Hyderabad's Development

    Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged everyone to support the state government’s vision of transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city. Speaking at a roundtable discussion in Davos, organized by the World Economic Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry, and Hero MotoCorp, he laid out plans for sustainable and inclusive urban growth.

    Hyderabad’s Growth Plans

    The Chief Minister highlighted that Hyderabad is on track to become one of the fastest-growing cities in the world while emphasizing sustainability. He called for collective efforts to make the city environmentally friendly and globally competitive.

    Improved Transportation

    Revanth Reddy said the government is working to provide affordable and efficient transportation for Telangana’s four crore residents. “We aim to ensure that everyone can travel quickly and at a low cost,” he noted, adding that infrastructure development is a top priority.

    Future City Initiative

    Hyderabad will soon host a “Future City” project, aiming to achieve net-zero sustainability goals. This initiative will focus on modernizing the city while keeping environmental concerns at the forefront.

    Leadership in Electric Vehicles

    Telangana is leading the way in adopting electric vehicles (EVs). The government has waived road tax and registration fees for EVs, and 3,000 electric buses are set to join Hyderabad’s public transport system soon.

    Dry Port Connectivity

    To overcome the limitations of being a landlocked state, Telangana is building a dry port. This facility will be connected to the Machilipatnam Port by road and rail, turning it into a significant hub for warehousing and logistics.

    Urban Mobility Expansion

    Hyderabad’s metro network is undergoing major expansion, with over 100 kilometers of new lines under construction. Additionally, the government is developing a 360-kilometer Regional Ring Road, radial roads, and a proposed ring railway network to improve connectivity beyond the Outer Ring Road.

    CM’s Experience in Davos

    The Chief Minister shared his experience of traveling by train from Zurich to Davos, describing it as unforgettable. He expressed hope that Hyderabad’s transportation systems could someday match such international standards, making travel comfortable and efficient.

    Gratitude and Vision

    Revanth Reddy thanked the World Economic Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry, and Hero MotoCorp for providing a platform to discuss his vision for urban mobility and development. He reaffirmed the Telangana government’s commitment to making Hyderabad a model for sustainable urban growth.

    With these ambitious plans, Hyderabad is set to become a shining example of modern, eco-friendly urban development, aiming to meet global standards while ensuring inclusivity and affordability.
