    Telangana | Nallagonda district mourns a tragic incident. On the occasion of Karthika Ekadashi, a person who was going for a holy bath in the river was brutally murdered. Some individuals attacked him with knives when he was on his bike and killed him. Here are the details of the incident that occurred on Thursday morning.

    Venkanna (44) resides in Belligorla village, Alwalapadu gram panchayat of Nallagonda district with his wife and two children. On the occasion of Karthika Ekadashi, he went for a bath in Krishna River and was returning on a bike towards Satrashala in Adaviddevulapalli Mandal. Venkanna’s mother-in-law Ravulakotayya also accompanied him. While Venkanna was riding his bike, Kotayya was sitting behind him. Both of them were attacked with knives by unidentified persons who came on another bike from behind in the vicinity of Addaroaddu, near Chennayipalli village.

    Venkanna fell off his bike after being attacked with a knife. Seeing this, Kotayya ran towards nearby fields in Polallapalli village, which is located near the banks of Kotayya canal. He informed the villagers and family members about the incident. Immediately after the incident, Venkanna was found lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to the hospital in Miryalaguda area. However, the doctors declared him dead. Upon learning about the matter, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghandhi and Superintendent of Police (SP) Shobhan Babu visited the incident site for investigation. Kotayya filed a complaint and a case has been registered.
