The Telangana BJP has accused the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao of running the state under a feudal system, with the police acting at the diktats of a king (BRS chief) and a prince. The BJP leaders made these comments at a joint media conference, where they also criticized the arrest of TS BJP chief Band Sanjay Kumar. Initially, the police had claimed that they were taking Kumar under preventive custody, but later it was revealed that they wanted to charge him with conspiring to leak the SSC question paper. However, the Warangal Commissioner of Police and State Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy have confirmed that there was no leak of the SSC question papers. The BJP leaders have accused the State government of playing vendetta politics to divert people’s attention from serious issues and implicating the BJP in the leak of TSPSC and SSC question papers.
