The sixth day of the Telangana Legislative Assembly session will begin soon. Yesterday’s session was very heated and lasted over 17 hours. There were many verbal clashes between the ruling Congress and opposition parties.
Today’s session will include a question and answer program. One of the key events will be Minister Sridhar Babu introducing the Skill University Bill. This bill aims to improve vocational education in the state.
The agenda for today covers various topics. The assembly will discuss issues related to nine government departments such as Fisheries, Sports and Youth Services, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, and Minority Welfare. Discussions about irrigation and civil supply are also expected to be intense.
In addition, the assembly will address matters from the Agriculture and Tourism Departments, as well as the Devadaya and Forest Departments. Other topics include Roads and Buildings, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Mata Shishu Welfare, revenue, registrations, housing, and Information & Public Relations.
One of the main highlights today is the second phase of the loan waiver program. The state government plans to waive loans up to INR 1.5 lakh for about 7 lakh farmers. This will provide financial relief amounting to INR 6,100 crores. Chief Minister Revanth will attend a program organized by the Agriculture Department at 1 PM to release these funds.
