The budget meetings of the Telangana Legislative Assembly began on Tuesday. The government expects these sessions to last for about 7 to 10 days.
At the start of the meetings, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy introduced a resolution to mourn the death of Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita. He expressed his sadness over having to discuss this unfortunate event during the assembly.
The CM shared that Lasya Nandita’s father, Sayanna, was a close friend and a dedicated public servant. They both worked hard as MLAs to improve the Cantonment area. He remembered Sayanna’s many contributions and noted that Lasya Nandita entered public life to continue her father’s legacy after winning her seat as an MLA.
The Chief Minister highlighted the tragic loss of Lasya Nandita. He said, “We believed she would fiercely advocate for the people and women of the cantonment.” Sadly, she died in a road accident due to severe head injuries.
The CM expressed his heartfelt condolences. He emphasized that Lasya Nandita’s family has strong ties with the community they served. The assembly members joined him in extending their sympathies to her family during this difficult time.
