Teegala Krishna Reddy, a former MLA and BRS leader, recently resigned from the party. He plans to join the Congress party soon. Reddy sent his resignation letter to BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday. He initially joined BRS because he was attracted to the party’s principles and ideology, and wanted to serve the people of the State. Reddy had been elected as an MLA in 2019 and also served as zilla parishad chairman.
However, Reddy stated that in recent times, no welfare or development programs from the party or government were reaching his area. He also alleged that genuine workers who had contributed to the party’s development were not being properly recognized. Due to these reasons, Reddy decided to resign from the BRS in order to better serve his region and support the sentiments of activists in his area.
Reddy expressed his gratitude to the party and activists who had supported him over the past five years. He requested that the party chief accept his resignation.
