The TDP has announced its support for BJP candidate T Vinod in the Khammam Lok Sabha seat. TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu is focusing on helping BJP win MP seats in Telangana in the general elections.

The traditional vote bank of the Telugu Desam Party could impact the winning chances of their ally, BJP, in certain areas of the state. The party is working on strategies to shift TDP’s vote bank to support BJP in Karimangar, Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Nagarkurnool, Bhongir, and Malkajgiri parliamentary constituencies where TDP still has influence in rural areas.

The BJP Telangana unit has asked for TDP’s assistance in winning elections in some Lok Sabha segments. Despite not being very active in Telangana, TDP is trying to mobilize its cadre in districts to support BJP and help their candidates secure victories.

According to leaders, survey reports suggest a tough competition between Congress and BJP, with every vote being crucial for the candidates’ political futures. TDP still maintains a 2 to 3 percent vote bank in each assembly segment, which could be enough to tip the scales in favor of BJP.
