The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and Telangana incharge, Tarun Chugh, announced on Wednesday that the party would initiate a state-wide campaign to secure the release of Telangana BJP president, Bandi Sanjay Kumar MP, who was taken into custody by the police from his residence in Karimnagar. Chugh stated that the arrest was an act of cowardice by the police as the BJP has been campaigning against the corrupt practices of Chief Minister KCR’s government. He further added that the people of Telangana were tired of the KCR family’s rule and that it was time for him to step down.
