Tarun Chug, the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Telangana in-charge, has strongly criticized the arrest of Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Telangana State BJP chief, calling it illegal. Chug stated that the police’s failure to disclose the reason for Kumar’s arrest indicates a widespread misuse of power, with the police being used as a tool.

Chug further stated that the arrest reflects the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR) fear and desperation due to his government’s continuous exposure and failure to conduct even Class 10 exams, as well as the leakage of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) papers.

According to Chug, Sanjay Kumar was in Karimnagar to attend his mother-in-law’s 10th-day ceremony when he was forcibly taken into custody by the police. He warned that the people of Telangana would teach this despotic government a befitting lesson and that the BJP national leadership had taken this brazen attempt very seriously. He added that KCR would pay heavily for his sins.
