Tamil voters will have a significant impact on the outcome of the Assembly elections in Secunderabad Cantonment. They make up almost 20% of the total voters and efforts are being made to win their support.

There are 53,000 Tamil-speaking voters out of a total of 2.60 lakh voters in the cantonment assembly segment. These voters are spread across several wards in Secunderabad Cantonment. Historically, Tamils in the city have supported secular parties, but recently they have been favoring the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in local body elections.

Some members of the Tamil community have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current state of development in the area. They feel that there has been a lack of progress in areas such as water supply and transportation. They are looking for a party that can ensure development in the cantonment limits.
