The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, A. Rajani, has urged people to make use of the free legal services offered by Lok Adalat in courts. Speaking as the chief guest at a legal science conference held at the Sakhi Center in Wanaparthy on Monday, she highlighted the purpose of Lok Adalat organizations. She explained that these organizations exist to ensure equality before the law and provide legal assistance to those in need.

Rajani outlined the numerous benefits of Lok Adalat services. Free legal aid is available to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), women, minors, individuals with an annual income of less than Rs. 3,00,000, the elderly, and victims of natural disasters. She also emphasized that marrying off minor children is considered a crime. A toll-free helpline, 15100, has been established to offer free legal guidance to those who require assistance.
