Banswada (Kamareddy): Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy announced that the government has given more priority to the healthcare sector with the resolution to provide improved medical services to the people in the state. As part of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations, Speaker Pocharam conducted the Pattana Pragathi event at Professor Jayashankar Mini Stadium in Banswada town on Friday. The Speaker attended the event as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker spoke about the government's special focus on public health. He mentioned that the government has increased the number of deliveries through the KCR Kit scheme in government hospitals. It was also highlighted that pregnant women are being provided with nutritious food and nutrition kits through Anganwadi centers. The Speaker also emphasized that efforts are being made to provide quality healthcare services to the people by equipping hospitals with modern medical equipment.
Explaining the progress made in the town in recent years, it was announced that the Pattana Pragathi event aims to inform people about the development works carried out in the town. It was stated that from 60 to 70 deliveries a month, the number has now increased to 400 to 500. After delivery, the mothers and babies are being transported to their homes free of cost through 102 ambulances. The Amma Odi program is also being implemented in the town, which is benefiting the people. The progress made in Banswada town was explained during the event. The Speaker had lunch with municipal employees.
