    Speaker Pocharam leads Telangana ahead in development and welfare programs

    Banswada (Kamareddy): Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy stated that Telangana is leading the country in the implementation of development and welfare programs. The government approves a large amount of funds for the development and basic amenities in the villages. As part of the state formation day celebrations, the Palli Pragathi Dinotsavam was organized in Kollur village of Banswada rural mandal. In this program, the Speaker honored the cleanliness staff and addressed them.

    From 2004 to 2014, the previous governments spent Rs. 12,000 crores for basic needs in villages, whereas the Telangana government has spent Rs. 58,000 crores in just three years. They also mentioned that Rs. 36,000 crores were spent for providing drinking water to households. The construction of bridges cost Rs. 9,797 crores and CC roads cost Rs. 2,310 crores. He also announced that tractors and water tankers would be provided to every village. With the establishment of Palli Davakhans (primary health centers), CM KCR has taken healthcare to the next level.

    The Speaker explained the unique schemes introduced by the Telangana government, such as Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak, which provide financial assistance for weddings. He mentioned that the government is working with utmost sincerity for the welfare of all sections of society. He also stated that if Gujarat can charge meters for motors, then even Telangana can implement metering for motors as suggested by the Centre. He appreciated the Assembly for unanimously passing the resolution regarding not allowing euthanasia.

    He informed that water from Godavari through the Kaleshwaram project is being supplied to the Nizamsagar project. The Speaker inaugurated the construction of additional classrooms in Kollur village. They also inaugurated the construction of CC roads, drainage systems, Gram Panchayat building in Nagaram village, and Mudiraj Association building. The program was attended by Collector Jithender V Patil, District President of Rythu Bandhu, Raja Goud, DSP Jaganath Reddy, Mandal President Doda Niranjan Reddy, public representatives, officials, and leaders.

    Mahabubabad: Minister Satyavati Rathod, the Minister for Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Development, inaugurated the Palle Pragathi (Village Progress) program in Mondrai Gudem, Kothagudem Mandal of Mahabubabad district, which has brought a joyful atmosphere to the villages with the progress made through various programs implemented by the Telangana government. On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day celebrations, she participated in the Palle Pragathi festival.

    As part of this, foundation stones were laid for the construction of gram panchayat buildings. Sanitation workers were honored. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister KCR emphasized the need for development in villages and mentioned that several schemes are being implemented for their progress. He appreciated the Palle Pragathi program for its contribution to the progress of villages. It was mentioned that the city is witnessing the progress of villages in terms of cleanliness and sanitation.

    It was mentioned that the government is working towards making villages greener by planting trees and creating gardens with greenery. Programs such as tractor and trolley cultivation, Vaikunthadham, Dumping Yard, and nursery development are being successfully implemented to ensure continuous crop cultivation. It was mentioned that the government has spent Rs 13,528 crore on Palle Pragathi till now in Telangana.

    A total of 1,329.73 crore was spent on Vaikunthadham construction in 12,745 gram panchayats across the state. District Collector Shashank, ITDA PEO Ankit, Trainee Collector Pinkesh, Sarpanch Bharathi, MP Vijay, ZPTC Pushpalatha, MPTC Sathayya, and DCEMS Vice Chairman Srinivas Reddy were present at the event.
