The Director of School Education Department, Sri Devasena, has issued instructions to the District Education Officers (DEOs) on Thursday, suggesting that the distribution of ragi java should start from the 20th of this month and be made available in all 28,606 schools in the state by 1st July.

    It has been decided to take action to provide ragi java to five students in each district on the 20th of this month. It was ordered by the DEOs to procure ragi java and wheat flour separately, and to distribute them to the schools from the districts. Each student will be provided with 10 grams of ragi powder and 10 grams of jaggery for three days to make ragi java. Boiled eggs will be distributed on alternate days along with the provision of ragi java. This meal is being prepared by the mid-day meal cooks with the help of kitchen assistants.

    Speaker Pocharam leads Telangana ahead in development and welfare programs

    Banswada (Kamareddy): Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy stated that Telangana is leading the country in the implementation of development and welfare programs. As part of the state formation day celebrations, the Palli Pragathi Dinotsavam was organized in Kollur village of Banswada rural mandal.     From 2004 to 2014, the previous governments spent Rs. 12,000 crores for basic needs in villages, whereas the Telangana government has spent Rs. 58,000 crores in just three years. They also mentioned that Rs. 36,000 crores were spent for providing drinking water to households. The construction of bridges cost Rs. 9,797 crores and CC roads cost Rs. 2,310 crores. He also announced that tractors and water tankers would be provided to every village. With the establishment of Palli Davakhans (primary health centers), CM KCR has taken healthcare to the next level.

    The Speaker explained the unique schemes introduced by the Telangana government, such as Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak, which provide financial assistance for weddings. He mentioned that the government is working with utmost sincerity for the welfare of all sections of society. He also stated that if Gujarat can charge meters for motors, then even Telangana can implement metering for motors as suggested by the Centre.     He informed that water from Godavari through the Kaleshwaram project is being supplied to the Nizamsagar project. The Speaker inaugurated the construction of additional classrooms in Kollur village. They also inaugurated the construction of CC roads, drainage systems, Gram Panchayat building in Nagaram village, and Mudiraj Association building. The program was attended by Collector Jithender V Patil, District President of Rythu Bandhu, Raja Goud, DSP Jaganath Reddy, Mandal President Doda Niranjan Reddy, public representatives, officials, and leaders.
