    A 25-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh was shot dead in Ohio, USA in a suspected robbery. The victim was identified as Veera Saiesh from Eluru. He was working part-time as a clerk at a Shell fuel station when an unknown person shot him at 12.50 am on April 20. Saiesh was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead shortly after. Police suspect robbery as the motive and have released photos of the suspect, appealing to the public for any information.

    Saiesh was pursuing a master’s degree in the US and had taken up the job to support his family financially. He had lost his father a few years ago and had gone to the US in November 2021. His mother and elder brother, who live in Eluru, have requested the Indian government for help in bringing his body back home.
