The Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a suspect in the Krushi Cooperative Urban Bank case that has been pending for 22 years. The suspect, Kagithala Sreedhar, who is the Director of the bank, was apprehended along with the Chairman, Managing Director, and other directors for misappropriating Rs 36.37 crore.
Sreedhar had been avoiding court proceedings, leading to the issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against him. A special team located and arrested him in Palakollu mandal, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The case was initially registered at Mahankali police station in 2001 before being transferred to the CID for further investigation.
