A woman’s head was found near the Musi River on May 17. The police were alerted and formed eight teams to investigate the case. They checked CCTV footage, searched for missing persons, and contacted other police departments for information. The victim was identified as Yerram Anuradha Reddy, who lived in Chaitanyapuri colony with the suspect, B Chandra Mohan. They had been in a relationship for 15 years, and Mohan owed Reddy Rs 7 lakhs. On May 12, they argued about the money, and Mohan stabbed Reddy to death. He then used stone-cutting machines to cut off her head, hands, and legs. He stored the body parts in a refrigerator and suitcase and used various products to hide the smell. The police arrested Mohan on Wednesday for the murder.
