Warangal East MLA Konda Surekha has become the Minister of Environment and Forests & Endowments. She officially took office at the BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad, with her family and senior officials present.
Once she took charge, Minister Surekha signed her first file. This file aims to increase the compensation given to families who are affected by conflicts between humans and animals. The compensation for loss of human life will be doubled to Rs 10 lakh. More details and rules regarding this will be released soon. Additionally, she also signed a file to bring elephants from other states for various festivals and events.
Minister Surekha has promised to fully support all development activities of the Forest department. Various officials and leaders, including BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, attended her official inauguration.
During her meeting with department officials, Minister Surekha emphasized the importance of controlling pollution and protecting forests and wildlife. She urged officials to come up with effective plans and guidelines to achieve these goals. She also discussed the Chief Minister’s directions for improving greenery in the state and emphasized the importance of working with the people.
