Warangal: Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavathi Rathod has urged Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to focus on resolving the issues within their own party instead of criticizing the BRS government. She made this statement during a press conference in Hanumakonda, where she was joined by Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar. Rathod mentioned that instead of reading prepared scripts, the Gandhi siblings should try to understand the problems faced by the locals, referring to their speech at a public meeting in Mulugu.
Rathod also criticized the Congress party for claiming credit for the Forests Rights Act without actually benefiting the tribals. She stated that with elections approaching, the Congress has promised to grant national status to the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma jatara if they come into power at the Centre.
The Minister highlighted that the BRS government has already given land ownership rights to podu practitioners, covering an area of 4.06 lakh acres. She also mentioned that even Mulugu MLA Seethakka’s family has benefited from this initiative.
Rathod praised KCR for bringing administration closer to the people by establishing district headquarters in Mulugu and Bhupalpally. She suggested that Rahul Gandhi should focus on addressing the internal conflicts within his own party.
The press conference was attended by MPs P Dayakar, Maloth Kavitha, and MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, among others.
