The delay in the release of the Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TSCPGET) results has caused problems for students who want to pursue higher studies at Osmania University. The university authorities said that the results were delayed because of technical errors in the question paper for some master’s entrance exams. This delay has led some students to join autonomous colleges out of fear that they won’t get a seat. The CPGET is conducted for admissions into various PG, PG diploma, and five-year integrated courses in universities including Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamaru, Satavahana, Telangana MahilaVishwavidyalayam, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological university in 45 courses. It has been over two months since the results were delayed, leaving students unsure about what to do. The PGET is required by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for post-graduate admission in OU campus and affiliated colleges.

Anushka Sarkar, a student waiting for results, said that it has been one and a half months since the TS CPGET exam ended and the results still haven’t been released. She is worried because there are only a few colleges in Hyderabad that offer forensic science or MSC biotechnology courses. Many seats in autonomous colleges are already being filled under management quota. She hopes that she will have a chance to get into an OU affiliated college once the results are released.

Venu Gopal, another student waiting for PGET results, said that it has been over two months since they have been waiting. Last year, there were limited seats available in every course and it’s expected to be the same this year. He also hopes that the OU authorities release the results soon. Seema Rao, another student, is tired of waiting for PGET results as well. Autonomous colleges have already started their admission process and she is afraid that she won’t get into a good college once the results are announced. She has already taken admission in an autonomous college in the city.

A senior OU officer, speaking anonymously, said that the results were put on hold because of technical errors in the question paper for MA Journalism. They plan to re-conduct the examination and the results for all courses may be released after that. The university has recently introduced MSC data science and both exams are scheduled for August 31.
