    Student leaders from various organizations attempted to protest outside Union Minister G Kishan Reddy’s residence in Hyderabad as part of the campaign against the NEET paper leak scam. Led by MLC Balmoor Venkat, the students demanded a probe supervised by a sitting Supreme Court judge and called for the termination of the National Testing Agency responsible for conducting NEET.

    The protesting students, representing NSUI, SFI, AISF, and other unions, tried to break through the security at the Minister’s residence, resulting in many of them being detained by the police and taken to Nallakunta police station. Venkat explained in a media statement that the students resorted to protesting as they were not granted an appointment with the Union Minister.

    Highlighting the concerns of 60,000 students from Telugu States who took the NEET exam, Venkat urged Kishan Reddy to convey their demands to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized the need for the Union government to apologize to the 24 lakh families in India affected by the NEET issue.
