Hyderabad: Tensions are growing at Hyderabad Central University (HCU) as students continue their protests over land-related issues at the university. Student unions have called for a shutdown (bandh) today, asking all students to join the demonstration.
Security has been tightened around the campus after intelligence reports warned that members of the BJP Youth Wing (BJYM) might try to enter, which could make the situation worse. In response, police have increased security and are limiting access to the university. They are also making sure that no unauthorized people are near the campus.
Earlier, police detained BJP MLAs who tried to visit the campus to look into the land issue. A large number of police officers are stationed in and around the university to prevent any disturbances and keep the protests under control.
Students at HCU are standing firm in their demand for fair treatment and resolution of the land problems. The authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation as it continues to develop.
