Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy welcomed the collaboration, stating, “Hyderabad will soon emerge as the capital of data centres.” State IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu also praised the project, saying, “Telangana’s growth is unstoppable. This investment reinforces the state’s forward-thinking policies and robust ecosystem. Hyderabad is poised to play a pivotal role in AI-led digital transformation worldwide.”

Currently, STT GDC India operates a data centre in Hyderabad’s HITEC City. The new campus will further solidify its presence in the region. STT Global Data Centres India is a majority-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.

As part of the Singapore visit, the Telangana delegation also engaged with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted key initiatives in the state and invited Singaporean companies to invest in Telangana. The SSIA responded positively, with plans for a large delegation to visit Hyderabad later this year to explore investment opportunities.

This collaboration marks another step forward for Telangana in becoming a hub for cutting-edge technology and innovation.
