A new Telugu book titled Stree was recently launched in Hyderabad. The book focuses on women’s health and provides detailed insights into various health issues that many women face but may not know how to address. It is authored by Dr. H. Narmada, a well-known Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgeon and an alumna of Osmania Medical College (OMC).

The 180-page book is divided into 61 chapters, covering a wide range of topics, including puberty, marriage, childbirth, newborn care, menopause, Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), nutrition, pregnancy-related health issues, breast cancer, infertility, test tube babies, and child nutrition. Dr. Narmada emphasized that the book is designed to be easily understandable and accessible, making it a valuable resource for women seeking answers to health-related concerns they might feel hesitant to discuss.

The book launch was attended by over 150 of Dr. Narmada’s former classmates, who traveled from various parts of the world to support her. Dr. Narmada graduated from Osmania General Hospital in 1977, and the event served as a reunion of sorts for her batchmates.
