    US-based StemCures plans to establish a manufacturing lab in Telangana, India for stem cell therapy. The facility will cost around US$ 54 million and will provide employment for around 150 people in two phases. The goal is to create the largest stem cell manufacturing plant in India.

    The facility will use the latest technology and expertise from the US to manufacture affordable and high-quality stem cell products for the treatment of various medical conditions. Hyderabad, India is emerging as the knowledge capital of the world’s life sciences industry with over 1000 life sciences companies and is a hub for pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

    Dr. Sairam Atluri, Founder of StemCures, met with IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in Boston, USA to announce the investment. Minister Rao welcomed the investment and looks forward to working with StemCures to make stem cell therapy more accessible to patients in India.
