The government in Hyderabad is considering putting up statues of popular Telangana leaders like Chakali Ailamma and Sardar Sarvai Papanna on Tank Bund. A cabinet Sub-Committee will be formed soon to make decisions about this.
During the 87th birth anniversary celebration of former Assembly Speaker D Sripada Rao at Ravindra Bharati, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made this announcement. He praised Sripada’s role as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Andhra Pradesh and noted his contributions to the people.
Sripada Rao’s son, Minister D Sridhar Babu, is carrying on his father’s legacy in State politics. Sridhar Babu has proven himself in politics and continues to uphold his father’s reputation. Chief Minister Reddy mentioned that Sripada Rao would have been proud to see his son succeed in politics.
