    District Collector B. M. Santosh took part in a video conference led by State Women Development and Child Welfare Department Secretary Vakati Karuna. Karuna proposed renaming Anganwadi centers to pre-schools and stressed the need for repairs and improvements at these centers to provide better nutrition and uniforms for children.

    After the conference, Santosh suggested changing the names of Anganwadi centers to pre-schools right away. He also recommended training classes for Anganwadi teachers and ensuring uniforms for students within three days. Santosh emphasized completing the Nutrition Health Tracking System survey and urged officials to propose an old age home in the district.

    District Welfare Officer Sudharani, CD. POs, Poshan Abhiyan Coordinator, and other officials were part of the meeting.
