Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held a cabinet meeting on Saturday to make important decisions regarding welfare programs, development projects, and key policies. Among the topics discussed were the Musi Rejuvenation project, a special Assembly session, family digital cards, and conducting a BC census.
The Chief Minister prepared a detailed agenda for the meeting. One of the main issues was the demands of the State government employees. These include the approval of recommendations by the Cabinet Sub Committee on GO 317 and clearing all pending Dearness Allowances (DAs). The recent visit of ministers and officials to South Korea to study the Han Riverfront Development project was also on the agenda. The Musi project proposals, including rehabilitation packages for those displaced from the Musi catchment area, will be discussed as well.
Another important topic was the functioning of Young India Skills University and the proposed Young India Sports University. The Chief Minister aims to resolve some pressing issues like the Musi revival project, local body elections, BC reservations, and the use of ration and family digital cards. The goal is to make decisions that will move these projects forward.
The government is also planning a special session of the State Assembly. During this session, they will introduce a bill for HYDRA, which was recently announced through an ordinance. The Musi revival project will also be discussed in this session. The Cabinet will decide on the timing of this special Assembly session.
Other issues to be reviewed in the meeting include the progress of the Young India Integrated residential schools project, the performance of the State’s medical and health department, and the road development projects managed by the R&B department. Sources said that these projects are crucial for the state’s development and will be closely monitored.
