The foundation stones for Young India-Integrated Schools will be laid at 28 locations across Telangana on October 11. This event is part of the first phase of the State government’s major education programme. The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, will attend the ceremony at Kondurg in the Shadnagar Assembly constituency, which is in the Ranga Reddy district.
The State government plans to build these schools in all 119 Assembly constituencies. In the first phase, 28 locations have been selected. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari held a teleconference with department heads and district Collectors. She instructed them to follow proper procedures when inviting Ministers and public representatives and to ensure all arrangements are made for the event’s success.
While the Chief Minister will be in Shadnagar, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will lay the foundation for a school in his own constituency, Madhira. The schools will also be set up in other Assembly constituencies, including Narsampet, Manakondur, Nagarkurnool, Devarakadra, Narayankhed, Parkal, Chennur, Munugode, and many more.
These schools will be built with a total budget of ₹5,000 crore. Each school will cost around ₹25 crore and will be developed on about 20 acres of land. The medium of instruction will be English, and the schools will offer education up to the 12th standard. Each campus will have four integrated schools that will bring together students from SC, ST, BC, and minority communities.
Each school will have the capacity to educate 2,560 students, with 120 teaching staff. The campuses will be equipped with modern facilities like digital smart boards, computer centres, libraries with over 5,000 books, and well-equipped laboratories. Additionally, the schools will have sports complexes with facilities for cricket, football, basketball, tennis, and even outdoor gyms.
