Telangana Society Announces New Admission Policy for Junior Colleges
The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) has introduced a significant change in its admission process. Starting from the next academic year, students who pass their SSC (10th grade) exams will be eligible for direct admission into the Society’s junior colleges.
Previously, students were required to clear an entrance examination and secure merit to gain admission into the intermediate first year of social welfare residential junior colleges. However, TSWREIS officials have now decided to simplify the process by allowing SSC pass-outs to enroll without the need for an entrance test.
The same admission process will apply to the Society’s Centres of Excellence. These centers provide coaching for national-level competitive exams such as JEE and NEET-UG, helping students prepare for future academic challenges.
In addition to this change, the Society has released a tentative schedule for fifth-grade admissions across all residential educational institutions it manages. A formal notification will be issued on December 18, with online applications being accepted from December 19, 2024, to January 1, 2025.
