    Telangana Minister Pushes for Iconic Spiritual Tourism Circuit

    Telangana IT and Industries Minister, D. Sridhar Babu, has urged Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, to develop the ‘Kaleshwaram–Manthani–Ramagiri’ corridor into a prominent spiritual and heritage tourism destination. The proposal aims to highlight the rich cultural and spiritual significance of these locations.

    The minister emphasized the unique appeal of the region, which combines cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and natural beauty. He believes the corridor has the potential to become a major tourist attraction in India, drawing visitors from across the country and the world.

    Sridhar Babu compared the importance of the Kaleshwaram Temple to other renowned spiritual sites like Somnath, Kedarnath, and Kashi. “Kaleshwaram is not just a temple; it’s a spiritual hub that attracts millions of devotees each year,” he said.

    He also highlighted the significance of upcoming events such as the Saraswati Pushkaralu, expected to bring in 30–40 lakh pilgrims this year, and the Godavari Pushkaralu in 2027, which could see over a crore visitors. The minister urged the Central government to provide assistance to transform the temple corridor into a world-class spiritual and eco-tourism hub. He proposed the addition of modern amenities to enhance the experience for both domestic and international visitors.
