    Hyderabad: The Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad celebrated the grand Sri Radha Govinda Ratha Yatra on Saturday in Kokapet. The event involved pulling a magnificent chariot by enthusiastic devotees.

    People from all walks of life joined the procession with deep devotion. The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of enchanting Sankirtans (devotional chants), and prasadam (sanctified food) was distributed to participants and onlookers along the route.

    The Ratha Yatra was inaugurated in the presence of prominent leaders, including Sri Stoka Krishna Maharaj, president of the Hare Krishna Movement in Chennai, and Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of the Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad. The chariot was pulled using a robust rope mechanism, which allowed 500 participants to work together in unison, symbolizing the community’s collective spirit.

    The procession started at the Sri Krishna Goseva Mandal Goshala and passed through significant landmarks such as Kokapet “X” Road, Allu Studios, 7 Hills Gated Community, Rajapushpa Atria, and Golden Mile Road. The Yatra concluded at the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower project site. Thousands of devotees and volunteers participated by pulling the chariot, offering prayers, chanting Sankirtanas, and distributing Vedic literature.

    A special highlight of the event was the cultural performances and devotional skits presented by talented children from Basil Woods School. These acts added a vibrant and festive touch to the procession, leaving the crowd captivated.
