The 30th Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week closing ceremony was successfully held in Hyderabad. The event was hosted by Sri Jayajothi Cements Pvt Ltd (S.J.C.P.L), which is part of My Home Industries Pvt Ltd. It was organized in collaboration with the Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Council. The ceremony took place at Mallika Convention Hall in Shamshabad, with P.N. Sharma, the Controller General – In Charge of the Indian Bureau of Mines, Nagpur, as the chief guest.
Several important officials attended the event. Among them were Jayakrishna Babu, the Controller of Mines (SZ) from the Indian Bureau of Mines, Bengaluru, and V.S. Narang, the Director – Technical of My Home Industries Pvt Ltd. Other key attendees included Chandrasekhar Pandey (Director – Operations, My Home Industries Pvt Ltd), B.C. Gurivi Reddy (Chairman ME & MC 2024-25 & Senior Vice President – Works, S.J.C.P.L), and E. Vasudevan (Convener ME & MC 2024-25 & General Manager – Mines, S.J.C.P.L). Officials such as Darshan Deep Bhardwaj (Co-Patron ME & MC 2024-25, DCO(M)(I/C), Vijayawada Region) and Ram Kishan (Patron ME & MC 2024-25, DCO(M)(I/C), Hyderabad Region) were also part of the distinguished guests present at the event.
The ceremony started with a pledge to promote environmental conservation. Various stalls were set up to spread awareness about environmental protection. The dignitaries addressed the audience, speaking about the contributions and efforts of S.J.C.P.L in environmental and mineral conservation.
The event concluded with an award distribution ceremony, where individuals and organizations were recognized in different categories. To add to the excitement, cultural performances were held, entertaining the audience and making the event a memorable one.
