Football Tournament Held in Memory of KVS Rama Sarma
A football tournament in honor of the late KVS Rama Sarma was held with great excitement at the St John Mary Vianney Church Grounds in Bhoiguda, Secunderabad. The event, known as the Late KVS Rama Sarma Memorial Football Cup, brought together young athletes who showcased their talent and sportsmanship.
The tournament was organized by Selvaraj and Anthony Vincent from the SJMVC Sports Team. Their efforts ensured the event’s success and served as a fitting tribute to KVS Rama Sarma, a man remembered for his dedication to community service and sports development.
Kota Neelima, in charge of the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency, attended the event and spoke about the importance of sports. She highlighted how such events encourage physical fitness, keep children active, and help in their overall development. Neelima shared that hosting the tournament was a way to honor her late father’s legacy and his passion for promoting sports in the community.
The championship trophy was awarded to Don Bosco High School from Motinagar for their outstanding performance in the tournament. Neelima personally handed over the trophy, congratulating the team for their success.
The runner-up teams, VRS and St Mary’s High School, were also acknowledged for their dedication and competitive spirit. Their efforts throughout the tournament were celebrated as a testament to the values of teamwork and determination.
The event also saw the participation of leaders from the Bansilalpet Congress Division, reflecting the community’s strong support for youth sports and development. The tournament not only honored KVS Rama Sarma’s memory but also brought the community together in the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.
