    Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, has claimed that the Kaleshwaram project has diverted water from the Godavari River to the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. He made this statement during a program held in Govur village, Mosra Mandal, Banswada constituency, where several developmental works have been initiated. As part of these initiatives, the Kakatiya Kala Toranam was inaugurated in Govur, and construction work on the Pampahouse pump house in Chintakunta has begun.

    Furthermore, developmental programs have been implemented in Chintakunta. During his address, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy stated that the Nagasagar project, which is based on an area of hundreds of acres, has been linked to the Kaleshwaram project. He also mentioned that Kondapochamma Sagar is providing water to the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. The government has allocated Rs. 150 crore for the construction of Chandur, Jakkora, and Chintakunta lift schemes, which will provide irrigation water to an additional 10 acres of land. Additionally, Rs. 200 crore has been allocated for the construction of the Siddhapur reservoir, which will irrigate another 12,000 acres of land.

    The speaker also highlighted that every acre of land in Banswada constituency is receiving irrigation water. He emphasized that agriculture plays a significant role in providing food for the world, and when farmers prosper, everyone benefits. The government is working tirelessly to support farmers through schemes like Kalyanalakshmi, Basti Dawakhana, KCR Kits, and Gurukul Pathshalas. Additionally, pregnant women are receiving nutritious meals at Anganwadi centers, along with nutrition kits. Furthermore, the construction of 11 double bedroom houses in Indal has been completed in Banswada, making it the highest in the country. The pension amount in Telangana is Rs. 2,000, the highest in the country, and Rahul Gandhi promised to increase it to Rs. 4,000 during a speech in Khammam.

    Overall, the government is focused on the development of Banswada constituency and ensuring the welfare of its residents. The implementation of various developmental programs and initiatives has brought significant progress to the region.
