    An awareness seminar on women’s safety and anti-ragging was held at the Government Nursing and Medical College in Nagarkurnool district. The event was led by Additional SP CH Rameshwar, who attended as the chief guest. He encouraged female students and women to report any form of harassment and to remain cautious of troublemakers. He assured that complaints to the She Team would be kept confidential and that action would be taken against offenders.

    During his speech, the Additional SP discussed the laws and punishments related to ragging. Nagarkurnool SI Ramadevi also spoke at the event, advising students to use the Dial 100 service during emergencies. She provided information on cybercrime and how students can protect themselves.

    Vijayalakshmi, the District She Team in-charge, pointed out that many women and girls are harassed by people they know. She urged them to stay alert and not lose courage. She encouraged victims to report harassment to the She Team police, which operates at key locations such as major intersections and district centers. Victims can report incidents by calling 100 or 8712657676.

    Bharosa Center Coordinator Srilatha gave information about the services provided under the POCSO Act, while Sunitha, the admin from Sakhi Center, explained the support services available at the Sakhi Center.

    The seminar was attended by the college principal, Gousia, along with faculty members, students, She Team members such as Venkataiah, and others.
