Former Bodhan MLA Shakil Aamir has been named as one of the accused by the Hyderabad city police. This comes after his son, Raheel Shakil, escaped to the UAE. The Panjagutta police have also included the names of three other individuals who helped the accused flee the country.

The FIR filed by the police states that a former BRS MLA was named as an accused in the case involving his son. This incident took place in front of Praja Bhavan at Somajiguda last month. The accused, who was allegedly drunk, crashed his car into a police barricade. He was then taken to the Panjagutta police station, where he was released. Another person was falsely accused in his place.
