Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi spoke at a public meeting in Hyderabad on Monday. She mentioned how Sonia Amma made a tough decision nine years ago to create a new state for the people of Telangana. However, the BRS government cheated the people and turned it into their own property. Priyanka urged the people to evaluate the BRS government’s performance in the upcoming elections. The government has failed to meet the demands of water, funds, and jobs, while farmers have been committing suicide since 2014.

At the Yuva Sangarshana rally, Priyanka said that slogans like “Bye Bye KCR, Bye Bye Modi” are not enough. People should seriously think about whether the current government has fulfilled its promises. School enrolment has gone down, and the allocation for education has been reduced in the state budget. Even when serious incidents like paper leaks of TSPSC exams take place, the government takes no action against anyone.

Priyanka urged people to make a conscious decision to vote for the Congress party and remove the cheating government. She was moved by the people’s affection for Indiraamma, even 40 years after her assassination. Priyanka feels tremendous responsibility as people see Indira Gandhi in her, and she promised to come to the state often to interact with people.
