    A total of 6.50 crore women have traveled for free on TSRTC buses since the Mahalakshmi scheme started. Every day, zero tickets worth Rs 10 crore are given out, and an average of 27 lakh women travel each day. At a meeting held at the Dr BR Ambedkar secretariat, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar praised the officials for successfully implementing the scheme and promised support from the finance department. Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized the need to strengthen TSRTC and discussed possible alternative sources of income such as logistics, commercial activities, and other non-ticket income. Finance Minister Bhatti announced that a decision will be made soon regarding funds for TSRTC staff dues, company debts, provident funds (PFs), and other settlements.
