The first day of the SSC public exams in Hyderabad went smoothly despite the heat. Large crowds of students and parents gathered outside the exam centers. Four cases were booked against squads in different districts for cheating.

To prevent cheating, the Education Department of Telangana warned of strict action against violators. One invigilator from Khammam and two from Asifabad were relieved of their duties as a result. The exams took place in 2,676 centers across the state, with almost all regular students attending the first language exam. There were also private candidates, with most students finding the first language paper easy.
