    Hyderabad: The State Chief Secretary, Shanti Kumari, announced that the Young India Skill University will start offering courses in various fields from this Dasara festival. Around 20 courses have been identified, and six of these will be available for students starting from Dasara this year.

    On Saturday, the Chief Secretary held a high-level meeting with key officials, including the special principal secretaries of the finance and industries departments, Rama Krishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan, as well as the principal secretary of the education department, Burra Venkatesham. During the meeting, it was decided that the university will operate from a temporary building, which could be located at the Engineering Staff College of India, NAC, or NITHM.

    Shanti Kumari further mentioned that leading corporate organizations, such as SBI, NAC, Dr. Reddy’s, TVAGA, and Adani, have agreed to partner with the university for training in various courses. Additionally, CII has expressed interest in providing training, and about 140 companies are eager to participate in the Young India Skill University initiative.

    The university has already appointed Mahindra Company Chairman, Anand Mahindra, as its chairperson, and Srinivasa C Raju as the co-chairman.
