    Several places in Odisha received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours due to a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning for light to moderate rain with thundershowers and lightning in 18 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, on Friday.

    According to the local weather office, some areas experienced extremely heavy rainfall. Telkoi in Keonjhar district recorded 182.6 mm of rainfall, Banki in Cuttack district received 182 mm, Gudvella in Balangir district had 139.8 mm, Pipili in Puri district saw 122 mm, Champua in Keonjhar district had 120.6 mm, and Deogaon in Balangir district received 107 mm of rainfall. Other areas such as Khurda town had 88 mm, Hirakud had 87.8 mm, Nabarangpur had 81 mm, Keonjhar had 70.6 mm, Puri had 69.6 mm, Bhubaneswar had 63.8 mm, and Titlagarh had 60.8 mm of rainfall until 8.30 am on Friday.
