A massive fire broke out at GAR Towers in Kokapet, Hyderabad, on Saturday. Several IT employees were injured in the incident, with some reported to be in critical condition. The injured workers were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Police officials stated that six seriously injured IT employees are receiving advanced medical care in corporate hospitals close to the building. Firefighters were called in to control the flames, which spread throughout the entire structure.

Authorities suspect that the fire was caused by a gas cylinder explosion in a restaurant located in the same building. GAR Towers houses several IT companies, and at the time of the incident, some work was being carried out in the restaurant. Narsing ACP Ramana mentioned that a gas leak could be the primary cause of the fire.

The State Fire Services Department has been asked to assess the fire safety measures in the entire building. Fortunately, since it was the weekend, fewer employees were present, which helped reduce the number of casualties.
