The State government has announced a Diwali bonus for Singareni workers. A total of Rs 358 crore has been allocated under the Production Linked Reward Scheme (PLRS). This is Rs 50 crore more than what was given last year. Each worker will receive Rs 93,750 as a bonus, and the amount will be deposited into their accounts by Friday afternoon.

Around 40,000 workers employed in Singareni will benefit from this bonus. The bonus comes just in time for the festive season, offering financial relief to the workers. Besides the Diwali bonus, the workers recently received other financial benefits, including a 33 percent profit-sharing, which amounted to Rs 796 crore. On average, each worker received Rs 1.9 lakh from this profit-sharing program. Outsourced staff were also given Rs 5,000 each.
