Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao addressed voters in Mancherial, Ramagundam, Mulugu, and Bhupalpally, urging them to consider the kind of government they want. He compared his party’s plans for local, national, and international development through mining activities to the lack of progress by the previous government.

CM Chandrashekar Rao criticized the Congress party for mortgaging 49% of the Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) to the Central government. He highlighted that the company, originally owned by Telangana, was given away to Andhra rulers by the Congress. The State government had requested mining at Bayyaram, but the Centre did not fulfill their request.

KCR mentioned that the Singareni MD had explored opportunities for mining in Australia and Indonesia. He assured voters that his party would not close down Singareni, contrary to the intentions of BJP and Congress. The government had previously given 32% share in profits and recently paid Rs 1,000 crore as Deepavali bonus and profit share to employees. The company, which had a Rs 600-crore moratorium, has now turned around with profits reaching Rs 2,200 crore.

The Chief Minister expressed disappointment that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not grant the state government’s request for income tax exemption for Singareni staff. He accused Modi of trying to close down Singareni and forcing the purchase of coal from his friend Adani in Australia.
